Heads of school and graduate research co-ordinators have a range of specific and general responsibilities with respect to postgraduate research students.
They are responsible for:
- the academic and administrative welfare of all potential and enrolled research higher degree students within their section
- overseeing academic supervision and monitoring the progress of students during their program
- being explicit about misgivings they may have about student progress or supervision, and should inform the Graduate Research and Scholarships Office if problems cannot be resolved internally.
