Academic Conduct Essentials unit
From 2008, students enrolling at UWA for the first time at any level, including postgraduate research students, are required to complete the Academic Conduct Essentials unit.
This short compulsory unit complements UWA's Academic Conduct Guidelines, and takes about 30 minutes to complete.
You are responsible for managing your candidature - the length of time you have to complete your research or study.
This section covers:
- enrolling
- annual progress reports
- change of supervisor, school and research direction
- extensions, leave and suspensions
- withdrawal and termination
- part-time and full-time enrolment
- PhD confirmation of candidature
- maximum periods of candidature
- changes in status, such as upgrading to a PhD.
You can check your degree milestones via StudentConnect. This includes due and achieved dates for items such as annual reports, research proposals, travel award reports.
Terms of candidature
Before October 2000
Students enrolled before October 2000 are governed by the regulation in effect at the time of their enrolment.
