Review process

The GRS are currently trialling online submission of the Research Proposal with students enrolled in the Schools of Biological Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics or Mechanical and Chemical Engineering.

If you are enrolled in the schools of Biological Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics or Mechanical and Chemical Engineering, you must submit your RP online using Delphi. Kindly note that hardcopy forms will not be accepted if you are enrolled in the above schools but will be returned with advice to submit online via Delphi. The Delphi user manual can be found here.

If you are not enrolled in these schools, you need to submit hardcopies of your research proposal to the Graduate Research School. Attach a research proposal coversheet to your proposal and ensure your Co-ordinating Supervisor and Graduate Research Coordinator have signed the coversheet. Send two copies of both your coversheet and research proposal to the Graduate Research School.

Reviewer's expectations

Your reviewer will expect that your proposal has already been assessed by your school.

The signatures of your Co-ordinating Supervisor and your Graduate Research Coordinator on your proposal coversheet confirms:

  • the information contained in the research proposal is complete and correct
  • you have access to resources
  • you will be provided with adequate supervision
  • you have obtained all approvals in relation to your proposed study.
