Workshop Description
R is a free and extremely powerful language and software environment for statistical computing, data analysis and graphics. This course is designed for those who have a little experience in R (our one-day course An Introduction to R or equivalent) and basic statistical knowledge. The course covers the implementation of basic statistical techiniques in R.
Outline
- T-tests: one and two sample t-tests
- One-way ANOVA
- Chi-squared tests
- Linear regression: Simple linear regression and multiple regression with interaction
The course will involve practical examples that participants can work through. Each participant must bring their own laptop with R and R studio installed. One week before the course we will send you instructions on how to install R and any associated packages required for the course. If you do not have access to a laptop please contact us as we may be able to provide one for you.
Costs
- $210 (exclusive GST) for students
- $350 (exclusive GST) for all other enrolments (note: UWA staff are eligible for a 20% discount of this amount when paying directly from a PG via electronic transfer)
